Privacy Policy
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you voluntarily share with us through the Homey Platforms, including:
- Contact information, such as your name, address, phone number, and email address.
- Information about your home, such as the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, appliances, cleaning frequency, and the zip code of your home — the details you provide when using our instant quote calculator.
- Billing information, such as credit or debit card numbers, expiration dates, and security codes, and/or information related to your PayPal, Amazon Pay, Stripe, or other digital payment accounts.
- Ratings and reviews of the cleaning professionals assigned to your service.
- Photos and videos of the serviced property (before/after), taken by our team for internal quality control on every visit. If you opt in at booking, we may also use this material — with any personal or identifying details excluded — in our portfolio and on our social media.
2. How We Use the Information We Collect
We use the information we collect to serve our customers, market and promote our cleaning services to existing and prospective customers, and improve your experience across our platforms. Examples include:
- Scheduling, rescheduling, and cancelling services
- Calculating your quote and processing and managing payments for services
- Addressing service complaints, feedback, and requests made under our 24-Hour Satisfaction Guarantee
- Communicating with you by email, phone, or text message, in accordance with your preferences
- Improving customer service
- Sending marketing and promotional messages on behalf of Homey, unless you've opted out
- Responding to your questions and feedback
- Conducting research and analysis to improve our services
- Running online or mobile promotions, sweepstakes, or contests

- Complying with applicable law, or protecting the rights, property, or safety of Homey, our users, or others
Information described in this section may be transferred to, or processed and stored in, the United States and other countries. In all cases, we take appropriate measures to protect your personal information in accordance with this policy.
4. How We Protect the Information We Collect
The security and confidentiality of your personal information is important to us. We've implemented technical, administrative, and physical security measures to protect it from unauthorized access, disclosure, and improper use, consistent with our obligations under the New York SHIELD Act.
Homey uses trusted payment processors — Stripe, PayPal, and Amazon Pay — to securely handle billing transactions. Stripe is PCI-compliant and stores card data using industry-standard encryption; PayPal and Amazon Pay transactions are authenticated and processed directly through your own PayPal or Amazon account. Homey does not store your full card number on its own servers.
We encourage you to protect your account by keeping your password confidential and logging out or closing your browser after each visit to our site.
Despite our reasonable efforts, no security measure is ever completely impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your personal information.
5. Marketing Communications and Your Choices
With your permission, Homey may send you promotional emails, newsletters, and marketing communications about our services, special offers, and home care tips. We may also run targeted marketing campaigns for homeowners and small business owners.
By providing your email address and using our platform, you consent to receive marketing communications from Homey. You may opt out at any time by:
- Clicking the "Unsubscribe" link included in any marketing email we send
- Emailing us at [email protected] with the subject line "Unsubscribe"
Even if you opt out of marketing communications, we may still send transactional messages related to your account or bookings — confirmations, appointment reminders, and receipts. These are not promotional and cannot be opted out of while your account remains active.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website and app may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve your experience, understand how our platforms are used, and deliver relevant content. Cookies are small data files stored on your device. We may use them to:
- Remember your preferences and keep you logged in
- Analyze traffic and usage patterns through tools such as Google Analytics
- Measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns, including our Meta Ads and Google Ads
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of certain parts of our platforms.
7. Children's Privacy
Our platforms are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, consistent with the federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe we've inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, contact us at [email protected] and we'll take steps to delete that information promptly.
8. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
You may contact [email protected] to update, correct, or delete your personal information, including withdrawing consent for photo or video use in our portfolio or marketing at any time. You can also update, correct, and delete some of your personal information directly through your account on the Homey Platform.
You may cancel or modify the email communications you've chosen to receive from Homey by following the instructions included in our emails.
9. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we do, we'll revise the effective date at the top of this page. If changes are significant, we'll notify you by email or through a notice on our platforms. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
10. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
